Thule Arcos Mounting Platform

For those who who don't wish to install a roof rack, or if your roof rack is occupied and you still need more cargo space an Arcos rear mounted box is a great option. The only cargo solution that actually improves your vehicle's aerodynamic properties and increases fuel efficiency.

The Arcos system is a two part affair, the platform which mounts to your towball and the box itself that mounts to the platform, which is available in two sizes M and L. The platform mounts to your vehicle's tow ball via a super easy-to-use and yet rock solid lever system, it only weighs 9kg so it's easy for most users to handle, bear in mind though that it does require a bit of muscle to lock it down into position with the attachment lever. The Arcos boxes themselves are one of Thule's more innovative products to date, they have been carefully thought out and designed to provide a practical, stylish, and aerodynamic solution for your cargo carrying needs. Firstly the Arcos boxes are mounted low relative to the hatch or boot so as to provide easy access to the rear of your vehicle when installed, this also contributes to its aerodynamic efficiency, and makes it easier to load and unload your gear vs a traditional roof box. Thule also spent time to perfect the wing shape of the boxes, again in an effort to provide the best aerodynamics possible, they perfected this to the point that, amazingly, in the end the Arcos provides greater fuel efficiency for your vehicle than without the box installed.

Being a hard shell box you can rest assured your gear will remain dry and intact on your journey too, and to further make sure of this Thule have included a handy indicator in the closure mechanism to show you when the box is properly closed. Locks are also included for both your box and for the towball attachment with the Arcos for security, so you don't have to worry about it disappearing when you leave your vehicle unattended.

For safety on the road and compliance with road laws the Arcos boxes include full tail lights and a number plate holder integrated into them.

As with all Thule boxes it is made in Europe and comes with a five year warranty.
